Sarah, owner of Syeni Salon and Day Spa, has been a business owner for 19 years. She graduated from Southern Wesleyan University in South Carolina, with a Bachelors of Science and at the time pursued her career in the medical field as a Dermatologist. Once Sarah found out she was pregnant with her third child she knew that going to medical school was out of the question and her life was going to change. After much thought she decided to still continue going to school but decided to do what she loved the most…..study plants! Sarah has always been “one with nature” and decided to pursue her non-thesis Masters in Botany with an emphasis on plant medicine. She is now attending N.C State University working towards her Masters in Botany/Plant Biology and has brought her education to her spa and salon. “We are truly going green! I can’t imagine not working with plants in my life. Without them we are nothing! We have always been known for using natural products but now we bring the plants in the spa and pick directly from each plant for our treatments. Our clients love the aroma, the greenery and whole concept of GOING GREEN!”
